So Lost last night was pretty disappointing. (Yeah, I'm just now getting to a computer...) I thought the episode coming up next week was going to be last night's. I mean, it wasn't bad or anything, but it wasn't the best I've seen. It was all about Desmond and what happened to him in the hatch. There was a bit about Charlie, but mostly just Desmond.
Anyway, when the hatch blew up, Desmond was sent back in time or something to when he was with his girlfriend, Penny. Well, he thinks he's going crazy, because he keeps getting deja vu and keeps getting flash backs about the island and the hatch where he has to press the button. Near the end, he decides he's going to propose to Penny and goes to the jewelers. The saleswoman gets out the "perfect" ring and he says he'll take it. The crazy lady tells him no, that he has to have second thoughts and leave the store. Now if that had been me, I probably would have left, but gone to a different store. He can't figure out why she won't sell it to him until she says a bunch of stuff about the future like he's going to break Penny's heart, enter a boat contest (because Penny's father said he wasn't good enough for her, so he wants to prove him wrong), get shipwrecked, and find the hatch. It was really weird. Anyways, he winds up telling Penny he can't be with her anymore and he falls and is "taken back" to the island. Now he has some psychic ability and you find out he's been helping Charlie, because he's going to die...Yeah, so wasn't expecting that one. I've gone back and forth about liking Charlie. Sometimes I really like him, but other times he really frustrates me, but still, I'd rather he not die.
Like I said, it wasn't that great an episode and next week's looks much more promising. I like it more when they have a few characters' stories going at once, because they can leave it at a cliffhanger, but still get back to it in the same episode.
